hello there,

I'm trying to put together a h/w proposal for desktop, immersive +
projection systems running PF with Linux. trouble is, the Linux h/w scene
is a bit of a minefield, especially to someone who has been exclusively
Unix until now.

I'd be very grateful if PF'ers could mail me outline details (graphics
cards, an impression of performance/problems/limitations, resolution
limits, etc.) for any Linux-based systems they've (un)successfully used
with Performer. I'm particularly interested in systems that can drive a
stereo HMD or projectors. Also, pls tell me of systems that DONT run
Performer (I don't want to end up buying one of those!).

In a couple of weeks, I'll collate the info and post it back to this group

many thanks

roy
