CATIA to pfb converter

At the Friends of Performer meeting at SIGGRAPH, there was a very brief
reference to a CATIA and Pro/E translator to *.pfb files. Does anyone know
the details about this capability? Is it a commercial third party product
or is it supposed to be part of the next Performer release? I guess the
bigger question - does it provide any control over the level of tessellation
or the level of detail? It's probably pretty obvious that I'm still looking
for the holy grail of real-time modeling - automating the process of
converting detailed CAD models into models suitable for a real-time
environment.
