Hi,
I'm currently having a problem with synchronising the location of a
geoset and the position of the texture on it..
I'm trying to move a textured geoset but dynamically change the offset
of the texture on it so that it appears the texture is stationary in
terms of the world, even though the geoset is moving.
The geoset is moved by altering the translation value of a DCS and the
texture is being shifted by calls to pfTGenPlane. Currently the call to
pfTGenPlane is made 1 frame late in the DRAW process and this gives
synchronisation between the DCS move and the texture move creating the
right effect... However if the frame rate drops the synchronisation is
lost and the texture jitters on the geoset.
Is there a way to synchronize the placement of the texture and the DCS
translation? Can this be done through fluxing or is there other way?
# I am using an Onyx2, the Geoset also has detail texture and is placed
with a pfTexGen using the PFTG_EYE_LINEAR mode.
Thanks in advance
