Vacancy
There exists a vacancy to fill a new position that has become available within Antycip's UK
facility in Bicester near Oxford. The position that has arisen is for an additional Technical
Support Engineer.
This new role is key to the growth strategy of Antycip UK from hereonin. Antycip UK and its
sister organizations in France and Germany, all part of a larger organization, Groupe Convergie,
is Europe's leading distributor of Visual Simulation Technologies.
Role
The role of Technical Support Engineer can broadly be divided into three areas;
Pre Sales Technical Support, Post Sales Technical Support & Professional Services.
The technical support roles involve pre & post sales activities related to both software tools
and hardware platforms within Antycip's product portfolio. Support plays a vital role in the
development of new business and relationships with existing customers.
Depending upon your skills, there may be opportunities to develop applications and/or database
content, and provide training and consultancy to customers, where appropriate.
You would be expected to work closely with all members of the sales team, primarily within the UK
but also in parts of mainland Europe, where required. You would be expected to contribute to the
team working as a team player with a positive and innovative attitude towards the way in which
you carry our your business.
Prerequisites for this role include an in depth understanding of real-time 3D graphics
environments, preferably with the skills to code, with some degree of competency.
Good interpersonal skills, a proactive and conscientious attitude coupled with the drive to
succeed are vital personal qualities of the successful applicant. A grasp of European foreign
languages would be an advantage but not essential.
Salary
Basic salary is negotiable depending on your skills and previous experience.
This will not be a barrier to the right person.
Commission
Open ended commission is payable based upon company performance as a whole, which promotes team
spirit, however, this would be discretionary according to the level of commitment you are able to
demonstrate.
Company Vehicle
A fully expensed company car will be made available in order carry out the tasks defined within
the role.
Expenses
All out of pocket business expenses will be reimbursed including fuel costs associated with
business mileage.
Holidays
The annual holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum, pro rata.
Commencement Date
It is anticipated that we should like the successful candidate to commence employment with
Antycip from September 11th.
