Time base corrector
The time base corrector (TBC) is used to synchronize a video source with
the timing
reference provided by the sync generator. It works by capturing a frame,
and outputting it
at the proper time. Eventually a frame will be repeated or dropped,
assuming that the
input source is at a slightly different frame rate than the sync generator.
The input and output for the TBC are on the . The TBC has a number of
controls. One
important one is the switch labeled "BYP" for bypass; when this switch is
in the bypass
position, no time base correction is performed!
