Latest 3dfx binary very slow

I've installed the very latest 3dfx binary for Voodoo5 & Voodoo3 and it has
murdered my performance.

The Voodoo3 was happily doing 14/12 HZ with my performer app, but now does
about 2/3HZ.
The Voodoo5 is about the same. Has anyone else experienced this.
