Thank you for your response, and to Luc Renambot, who gave the same answer.
I have re-checked, and find I can use this feature in the binaries shipped
with performer, but it does not work it any of our re-compiled versions.
Unfortunately, we have found we need to re-compile perfly to get it to
work with certain database loaders.
I do not see any relevent warnings in the perfly compilations - might there
be some code missing ?
