I do remember that there are cases when the pixel-fill stats are not 100 %
reliable.
We had a case half a year ago, when the values shown in pfStats were to high
!

Reason was as follows: if we chose a visual that did not have 8 bit stencil
for sampling the z-hits, an OpenGL windows was automatically opened by
Performer in the background for accumulating the samples.
However, by default this window had backface removal off ! Thus, additional
draw-hits came from the backsides of surfaces (which are normally not
visible, of course).

Is this already corrected in the current Performer versions ?

Performer statistics can already do this.
See the perfly sample code, if you run perfly you can select "Fill"
stats using the gui.
