It is not possible to say how sigificant the performance hit is when you
use indexed primitives. It is safe to say that non-indexed primitives will
never be slower, but the rest depends on where your bottlenecks are. If you
are fill rate limited, there may not be a performance difference.
Indexed geosets require more CPU time since they add an indirection to
every attribute of every vertex.
