You can use the stencil buffer to do this. Add a draw callback to the
round channel, and do something like this:
1) Clear stencil
2) Render the round shape of your channel into stencil ONLY, turn depth
and color masks off.
3) enable the stencil test so that only parts of the scene which are drawn
within the round area are drawn
4) Enable depth and color buffer writes
5) Draw the scene
6) Turn off stencil test
