**** PAPERS ****
IEEE-VR2001 seeks original, high-quality technical papers in all areas
of virtual reality. Papers must be in English. It is strongly
recommended that papers be submitted electronically. Please follow the
instructions described on the Electronic Submission Web Page (follow a
link from IEEE-VR2001 top page). Authors who do not have web access
should contact one of the program co-chairs listed below.
Submitted papers should not exceed eight pages in length and be formatted
using the IEEE Computer Society format described at
http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm. Include the author's
name(s), affiliations, addresses, and electronic mail addresses. Papers
are solicited and will be reviewed in either research or applied
categories. Research papers should describe results that contribute to
advancements in state-of-the-art virtual reality software,
hardware, 3-D CHI, or systems development.
Applied papers should present prototype or fielded virtual reality
systems. Applied papers should include a concise description of the
application area, provide insight into the relevant VR system
implementation issues, and discuss the effectiveness of the VR system
with respect to the application area.
Authors may submit video materials to aid the program committee in the
review of their submission. Videos must be submitted following the
instructions on video submissions (see "Call for Videos"). In this case,
indicate that videotapes have been submitted by checking the "with
supporting video" check box on the Electronic Submission Web
Page. Videos submitted with papers will be automatically considered
for possible inclusion in the video proceedings.
VR NEWS will provide a $1,000 Best Technical Paper Award.
