Hi,

Sorry this is a bit off-topic but I know how much you all love to
help...

I want to use the mouse (SGI, O2/Onyx) as an input device for an
application. I need to switch off normal mouse behaviour and be able to
read mouse movements and button presses directly. Reading X,Y
coordinates from Xevents is no use as I need to suppress the normal
X-Windows behaviour such as losing focus of a window and/or button
presses affecting the interface.

If this isn't possible can the mouse cursor be artifically repositioned
back in the middle of a 'safe' input area so I can just keep reading
Xevents?

If anyone has any ideas/source they would be greatly appreciated

Thank you.

Alistair Seaton
