I think SWIG has been used in the past to generate bindings for
Performer... SWIG is commonly used by people who need to create python
bindings for an existing C api (and if that's all you need then...). Last
time I looked (~1.5 years ago), it did not support C++ very well but it's
certainly worth a try.
