There is the reference manual (not what you are looking for I expect)
and the programmer's guide which is more digestible.

Both ship in online form with the performer distribution.

You can also purchase a hardcopy version of the programmer's guide here:

The reference manual can also be purchased but it's probably of less use
in hardcopy.
