Hi Michael,
Redhat 6.0 ships with XFree86 version 3.3.something. If you're using the
glx driver from nvidia's website for xfree 3.3, then you're using indirect
rendering which has a huge performance impact.
If this is the case, download the XFree 4.0 rpms from redhat's website and
get the kernel module and GL dso's from nvidia's drivers page, and your
performance will improve a lot.
