How did you manage to get the version 3 drivers to work? Version 2 worked
fine for me but perfly just cores with the new drivers. I was told by an
nvidia developer that this is an XFree 4.0 bug and should be fixed in the
upcoming 4.0.1 release.

        I just installed a 3D Annihilator 2 (about $299, uses the
GeForce 2 GTS
chipset) along with XFree86 4.0 and NVidia's version 3 drivers. When
running the Performer town demos I get a solid 60fps at 1280x1024
resolution. This is all running on a 600mhz single proc, Athlon system
under Suse 6.4. It took a bit of work to get it all working, but I'm
quite
pleased with its performance so far.
