Shared Arena range

Hi, a simple Friday question for you all:

I heard a rumor that the Performer Shared Arena must reside inside of main
memory and not go into virtual memory. If thats true and my machine has 2GB
main memory, then the Shared Arena must fit within 0x00000000 and
0x80000000.

Is this true?
