The only current workaround (for what it's worth) is to temporarily
reconfigure your system so that "all" the pipes are managed by one X
server. My earlier message describes how to do this (the 'switch the
system back' part):

It's on our list of bugs to fix for IRIX 6.5.10.

But this is a relatively complicated one -- a lot of logic has to
change inside the library since we often use the screen number to
index arrays, check locks, etc; whereas in TKO mode, multiple pipes
can all have X screen number (such as 0) upon different X displays.

Your choice of course, but there's probably no need at this point
since we already have a bug report open for it (SCR 791376).
