Yes, I'm seeing jello effects. At least I think they are jello effects.
And they are worse in a 3-pipe application (Onyx, 8 R10000, 1Gb, IR,
IRIX 6.5.6, Performer 2.2.7) than in a 0.5-pipe (Onyx2, 2 R10000, 2Gb,
IR2, IRIX 6.5.7, Performer 2.2.7). I will try grabbing a screenshot of
the phenomenon to see if it's actually jello.

Anyhow, I tried to make the clipmap virtual to avoid this, and my frame
rate just drops to 1Hz....bummer. What can it be?

By the way - if I succeed - setting the num effective levels to less
than
16 and then adjusting the offset in realtime should get rid of jello
effects,
right? Or would I have to increase the clipmap levels beyond 16?
