GL Error on multipipe octane

the following error occurs when using PFMP_DEFAULT and PFMP_APP_CULL_DRAW
on a dual proc octane with two SE pipelines in it (my program only
requires one pfPipe):

        GL: Error: can't get gfx info

if i use PFMP_APPCULLDRAW, or if i use a mutlipipe ONYX2 there are no
problems...

what's going on here?
