It can be important when you intend to run at less than the vertical
retrace rate of video, especially if you unexpectedly frame extend but
in practice, with the right pfPhase set the it isn't essential on a
single image system. It is essential when using multiple systems. You
should try and channel share PFCHAN_SWAPBUFFERS_HW and wire swapready
even on a single image system though, it's easy enough.
