I'll try this again. I have 8 bit luminance texture data and I want to
display this using as RGBA using a look up table. The Onyx2 supports full
RGBA texture lookup but Octane's only support RGB texture lookup. I get the
proper RGB lookup but no alpha.
How can I get the data to display in RGBA?
Do I need to do use internalFormat/externalFormat of RGBA and do my own
lookup prior to download :(.
I tried to use glPixelMap, but it appears to only be using one value from
the table, the one at 255 for alpha. I'm using externalFormat for LUMINANCE
and internal format of RGBA8 but it still is not using the map for alpha. I
want to avoid reformatting the data prior to download if at all possible and
retain the externalFormat size as small as possible to minimize texture
download times.
