Hi.

I'm reading the VEGA NSL documentation, and I have some questions about how
light points size and transparency is handled by NSL.

First, since I can't find anything on the size variation of light points, I
assume the light points size ALWAYS decreases with respect to perspective
projection as it is done by Performer with the PFLPS_SIZE_MODE_ON flag. Am
I right ? Furthermore, I can't see any minimum or maximum light point size
as it can be specified with Performer (i.e. PFLPS_SIZE_MAX_PIXEL,
PFLPS_SIZE_MIN_PIXEL). Is there anything like that available through NSL?

And now, for the transparency: is it realy just a LINEAR variation from 0%
to 100% transparent in the range
[VGLTYPE_FADERANGE*VGLTYPE_RANGE, VGLTYPE_RANGE] ? That would mean no fancy
control like what's available on Performer through the PFLPS_TRANSP_xxx
constants.

So, ... can someone explain me how the light point size and transparency
calculations are done ?

And if someone ever tried NSL, can you tell me if this limited flexibility
on the light points size and transparency is good enough to model runway
lights, compared to what can be achieved with all the Performer controls ?

Thanks.

J.-S.
