Hi to all of you,
I'm currently developping both on Irix (Onyx2)
and on Linux. I'm using the function pfdBuildASD
to build an ASD from a regular matrix of points.
The parameter mode (the man page tells to select
the algotithm trought this parameter) seems to do nothing.
pfdBuildASD builds the ASD from the coarser level of detail,
so if I want to arrive to the maximal detail available I have
to use a lot of LODs, say 12 or 13; That will require A LOT
of memory. That's because pfdBuildASD allocates different
points for every LOD.
That's impossible for grids of 4000 x 4000 points, for example.
I have no time to write my routines for building ASDs now,
so is there a smarter way of doing this?
Tiziano
