Voodoo3 using the DRI , a binary can be obtained from
http://linux.3dfx.com/open_source/download/voodoo3_banshee_dri.htm

Nvidia Geforce DDR, glx driver from nvidia site.

Savage cards or 3dlabs cards using XIG's 3d accelerated X from www.xig.com

I'd go for V3, it seems to work the best.
