You'll definitely want to look into the new Linux-based desktop
workstations coming soon from SGI. The Performer team is working
very closely together with the Workstation & OpenGL folks to make
them the ideal low-cost platform for Performer users.

We can't discuss the technical details of the systems quite yet; but
you [& others who are interested] should contact your SGI sales rep
or Jeff Brown (jbrown++at++esd.sgi.com) to arrange a briefing under NDA.
