We went through the same thing and found it to be fairly painless. Vega's
ability to configure the application using the ADF makes supporting
different machine configurations much easier. We uncovered a couple of Vega
bugs that caused us problems. One we worked around using equivalent
Performer functions and the other, a SensorVision bug, is still an issue
that keeps use from rendering SV channels in separate pipes. These bugs
may have been fixed in Vega 3.4, I don't know.
