Ok, so these seem like contradictory statements, since Performer2.3 (for Linux)
and Mongoose are the same thing. I have gotten performer working with Voodoo2
with no problems. You need to have the Mesa driver that is optimized for
compiled for 3Dfx..., glide and voodoo2 drivers for linux from the 3dfx
website. Other than that, Performer just makes OpenGL calls, so it runs as
well as your OpenGL implementation.

Attached is the script I've used to install for Voodoo2.
