Multiprocess model

Hi.

I would like to have some clarifications about the Vega/Performer
multi-process model. I'm running a Vega application on a SGI with 2
pipes.

According to my adf file, I should have the following 5 processes:

1 application process
1 cull process (pipe 0)
1 draw process (pipe 0)
1 cull process (pipe 1)
1 draw process (pipe 1)

So why do I have 8 processes running ?

I've also run another test with a different configuration. On a six
pipes SGI, I have 20 processes.

The formula to calculate the total number of process (assuming one cull
and one draw per pipe) seems to be:

(number of pipe)*2 + 1 application process + 1 + (number of pipe)

Why ?
