Just to be clear -- if you move the clogin window over to the second
pipe you'll still have a situation where one login "session" is in
control of all the pipes. More specifically, with [just] this you
wouldn't be able to log in & out of pipe 2 without pipe 1 being
logged in & out along with it.
So if what you're really looking for is the ability to use the two
pipes for completely distinct login sessions, you'll want to go with
what's known as a "Two Keyboard Option" setup.
Hook up a second keyboard/mouse to the system [can't remember where,
can someone else chime in here] and go to /usr/lib/X11/xdm/
This being an Onyx2 and assuming you're running 6.5.x you'll see two
files there, plain 'Xservers' and 'Xservers.3key'.
Copy 'Xservers' to a backup location (perhaps 'Xservers.1key'), then
create a new file 'Xservers.2key'. Xservers.3key will show you what
needs to be in there.
Then copy your new 'Xservers.2key' back over 'Xservers'.
Restart graphics (stopgfx; killall xdm; startgfx) or reboot,
and hopefully, viola'.
Critical tip: make sure the system is on a network so you can log in
remotely, or hook up an ascii terminal, in case you need to put
things back!
