Stereo HMD's will either require a high refresh stereo video format or
two video signals for each HMD.
An iR with an 8 channel display generator will very comfortably be able
to output 8 channels at 640x480 60Hz. It'll only use about half the
available video bandwidth.
You mention 4 trainees but have a 3 multiplier in the video resolution,
I presume this should be 2x indicating stereo.
