Hi David !

`offset' is the product of all the matrices on the path from the root of
your scene graph to the pfLOD node. In other words, this is the transformation
that Performer will apply on the pfLOD node and all the nodes under it.

pfLOD evaluation needs this matrix in order to transform the pfLOD center
to its world coordinate position before selecting the desired level of detail.
