Hi,
What do you think of this pf's?:
Let's change mongoose-feedback++at++corp.sgi.com (or create another mailing-list
-> info-mongoose++at++sgi.com or whatever) that will work as the performer
mailing list (or any mailing list) but that will be ONLY for performer on
Linux questions so that everybody on the info-performer++at++sgi.com will receive
ONLY pure performer questions and the ones interested in the Linux version
will have to subscribe to the new list.
Of course we're still going to receive mongoose questions on this mailing
list but we will have to ignore them and they will eventually stop
appearing. Think about it, mongoose questions keep appearing here because 1.
we keep answering them, 2. they're not answered on
mongoose-feedback++at++corp.sgi.com (don't misunderstand this, SGI guys are doing
a great job, no doubt about this).
The idea is to be aware of other people's problems (and solutions) to know
if we're facing a bug or if we're just doing something wrong...
As Angus said we're free to create our own list but that's not the point, we
need the Performer team's expertise (it's the true value of this mailing
list isn't it?)
So what do you think about it at SGI? it`s a little bit of extra work for
you guys but it can keep everybody happy and the most important: we'll have
a place for asking questions and having them answered.
