Hi Karl,

Just took another look at the last email you sent to mongoose-feedback.
The problems you are experiencing are OpenGL implementation related
problems. Performer is an API that lies on top of OpenGL. If there is a
problem with the underlying OpenGL, those problems will manifest
themeselves in Performer apps as well. Unfortunately, Performer
engineers cannot control / maintain / fix all the random OpenGL-like
implementations under Linux. We do our best to identify, respond to, and
fix Mongoose (Performer on Linux) related bugs in as timely a manner as is
possible.

The FAQ and buglist cover issues with Performer on Linux. They do not
cover issues with OpenGL under Linux. The reason they do not cover OpenGL
under Linux is that there are many many implementations of OpenGL or
OpenGL-like APIs under Linux. To cover all the problems related to all
the OpenGL implementations under Linux is beyond the scope of the
Performer buglists and FAQs. Hopefully, this will become less of an issue
once more OpenGL 1.2 conformant drivers become available under Linux.

Support is not currently available for Performer on Linux. Subsequent
versions of Performer on Linux will be released in conjunction with
releases of Performer on IRIX. Any/all available bugfixes will be
included in the next release of Performer.

I hope this helps clear up some the confusion on this thread.
