No, you can and do get answers to pf questions about Linux,
mongoose-feedback was mainly for bugs & RFP's and is there to reduce
initial traffic on this list. Let's remember that product is free and
the IRIX version of Performer isn't free, SGI can sell support for
Performer on Linux. Free doesn't imply support to me and never will,
that's just bad economics. If the peer to peer support or informal
support from Performer developers on the list is not enough, you will be
able to purchase the support you crave from SGI.
info-performer is an sgi mailing list anyone is free to set up and own
their own mailing list, SGI set up and owns this one and has maintained
and supported it for years. It seems reasonable to me when SGI says that
it's not here to advertise PC cards to our most hard core group of
developers. That is not why they subscribed to this list and it's not
why SGI maintains it. If you want to discuss that find another list,
there are plenty of them.
Cheers,Angus.

-- For Performer+OpenGL tutorials http://www.dorbie.com/ My comment on the abuse of Jon Johanson's rights; After giving up raiding their neighboring countries the Norse men have taken to raiding 15 year old kids in their bedrooms. Very sad.
