Yep, the Octane Channel Option (OCO) is a extra piece of hardware
that essentially works as a sophisticated video splitter. It takes
the output of one pipe/head and divides the signal across multiple
monitors, each one viewing a separate part of the framebuffer.

Strangely enough I can't seem to find a datasheet for it on
www.sgi.com to see the supported video formats -- but as I recall it
goes up to 4 channels at 800x600; perhaps more if you have MXI/MXE
graphics. But your sales reps will have the info ..
