I have been using Viskit on NT and Performer on SGI machines for a some time. What I can say
about Viskit is that it is a very nicely written performer style API targeted for games and that
sort of visualization applications. But Viskit lacks some features which only performer can provide
and the question is that do you need those features or not.
About performer is on linux, I haven't used it personaly but one thing I know about Linux is that
SGI is very commited to linux OS about OpenGL and I believe a couple of months later we will
have a nice software/hardware recipe from SGI.
If you mean you will have two IGs frame sync'ed, I am not sure that NT is very much capable
of that and with linux I would feel better.
just my 2 cents
