I remember Sharon's sample also, looking at my crib sheet it appears
to have been updated a while back and is now shipped with Performer
2.2. Check out:

  /usr/share/Performer/src/pguide/libpf/C/dmvtO2.c

Not that I'm aware of. [It's a question of PC architecture &
capabilities, rather than a Performer issue]
