I'm interested in optimizing Performer rendering for the
purposes of video output, without using framebuffer-to-video
fast paths (which aren't available on all platforms).
DMPbuffers seem to be a natural way to do this.

I have a rather old example (from Sharon Clay) with a comment
that indicates:

 * I have an initial version of a pbuffer-tolerant 2.0 based libpf.
 * It doesn't work yet if you fork the draw process.
 * Also note that Performer will not be tracking a pbuffer based
 * window so if you change the size of it we will not be aware.

Are DMPbuffers supported by Performer on IRIX?
Are there any plans to support DMPbuffers on Linux?
