Since many of the people on this list are intersted in VR and
large-scale projection systems, I thought you may be interested in this
announcement. VR Juggler is Open Source and runs with Performer under
Irix and Linux. :)

VR Juggler has been OpenSourced under the LGPL and a new pre-release
version is immediately available on the Irix, Linux, and WinNT
platforms.

VR Juggler, an object-oriented platform for virtual reality development,
has been developed at the Virtual Reality Applications Center (formerly
known as ICEMT) at Iowa State University.

VR Juggler supports a variety of projection-based VR systems, such as
caves,
walls, benches, and desks. It also supports HMDs and provides a
simulator environment for rapid application development on the desktop.
It includes features such as: run-time reconfiguration, scalability,
simulated devices, and support for OpenGL and Iris Performer.

VR Juggler is available in source and binary form at:
