Hi John

Its sounds more like a problem with the Flight file
Some geometry in the files has is material index set
to a value that is not valid for the material palette
of the flight file. The only way I can think of to
correct this is to load the file into a Modeler and
search for and correct the index and or material palette.

you can also reduces the Performer notification level
by using the Pf notify env variable

setenv PFNFYLEVEL 0

The higher the number the more verbose the messages
that are deisplayed by Performer
