Hi,
We are interested in ways to make Performer running on Linux generate two
images so that it can drive an HMD.
It seems that several X servers can handle multiple video cards - probably
AcceleratedX is the best bet, so I guess that it should be feasible to
make Performer run on such a machine with one window on each X display.
(It might also be possible to use the Matrox G400 which has dualhead
capabilities, but I am not sure if anything supports dualhead X for this
card yet)
Now, if these two Performer Windows could be properly synchronized, I
think that the setup could drive our HMD.
If anyone has actually tried out stereo-performer-through-multihead-X
or has some input on how/when it will be possible to implement, I would be
grateful for suggestions and input. Also: from previous messages, I gather
that some of you were contemplating issues related to Performer on
Multihead X. Any luck?
thanks!
- Andreas
