Greetings,
I used ClipGen to create a clip texture for display on an Onyx 2 Infinite
Reality. The clip
texture is made up of four .rgb images in Lambert Conformal Conic
projection, each of which
covers a little over a one-degree area. My problem is that there is a gray
edge along the
boundary between input images in the lower LOD mipmaps. The highest
(closest to viewpoint)
LOD has no boundary line. ClipGen appears to be averaging in pixels just
off the image to create
the mipmaps. I have tried moving the boundaries defined for the image in
the input .geo file
inside the image, I have tried a range of invalid border values from 0 up, I
have tried a
range of feather edges values from 0 up, all to no avail. I have run out of
ideas, and hope
someone can give me a lead on what to try next. Can anyone describe how the
invalid border, feather edges, and mask file work? There is no help file.
Other pertinent parameters in my ClipGen setup are:
clip texture size: 8192 x 8192
tile size: 512
clip size: 1024
headroom: 1
ext and int formats: 888
start and end levels: 0 and 13
All boundaries are defined in meters from the Lambert Conformal
conic reference center.
I use homebrewed software to map the database vertex u,v's to Lambert
Conformal conic
Thanks
