Adding attributes to pfNodes

pfUsers,
  I have a simple application that loads meshes using pfdLoadFile. However,
I don't see a way to place a pfNode into a pfGeoSet so that I can apply
attributes (textures, colors, etc.) If someone could point to an example of
this, I would greatly appreciate it.
