Hi, I was looking at the acenic driver in the 2.4.3 kernel release I've seen this comment: *... The case to be aware of is when shutting down the device * and cleaning up where it is necessary to make sure that * start_xmit() is not running while this is happening. Well DaveM * informs me that this case is already protected against ... bye bye * Mr. Spin Lock, it was nice to know you. Can you give me a pointer in the code where this awareness mechanism is implemented, I've been working on an E3 driver a while ago and I had this same concern. Thanks |
