o.k., just wanted to be sure because I observed some minor instability
problems when the isdn-related header files changed some -testX ago.
Otherwise, I did not experience any problems.

As it occurs only with certain providers, it might be compression related.
Different providers might support different kinds of compression. Thus,
the problem might only occur with certain providers.
In order to get further insights (and maybe for beeing able to re-produce
the problem):
- Which isdn_ppp compression support is configured in your kernel?
- Which isdn_ppp compression is configured for your ipppd?
- Can you determine form the syslog (`debug' option of ipppd) what
compression was negotiated with the different providers?
- For the providers which crash: Try to switch on or off compression
by means of the ipppd command line or ipppd´s options file.
