Hi folks,
tryed yesterday to dialin to my server at the office (both server and
client are Linux-x86, but server is 2.2.17pre20, whereas the client is
2.4.0test9). As got the wrong nr. first the syncPPP did not work, so I
used an mailbox-like terminal over X75 which worked perfectly. Later I
remebered the right phone-nr. , so I tryed syncPPP also (which is
working on serverside - tryed with other computer...) As the ipppd
started to negotiate the swapper killed the interruphandler.

I found out, that the calltrace included an adress __kfree_skb (+0x34)
and apic_chip_info (+0x942) (I selected CONFIG_X86_UP_IOAPIC) and
isdn_ppp_push_higher (+0x494). After I made a new kernel without
CONFIG_X86_UP_IOAPIC it crashed at nearly the same place, and sayed
Scheduling in interrupt.

Both ways the system was only to be reviewed by the reset-button.

I now tryed it even further, and found out, that if I use a call-by-call
internet-provider, that do not need auth, it does not crash. Linux
test10pre1 did not fix this problem.

Regards hartwig :-(
