Has anyone been able to do offscreen rendering using an X-Server running
the last 2 iterations of NVIDIA's drivers?  I know a number of different
groups are having trouble with this, but I'm not sure if the problem is
universal.  I haven't had much luck getting a response from NVIDIA yet
though...
