I used the pre-compiled Inventor tar file to install it on Mandrake v7.2
It works fine.
If you want to rebuild from source, then look in the Mesa sources where you will
find two directories for Widgets.
One of them is the SGI version, the other is the Mesa version.
Choose one, compile it, then move the library somewhere sensible.
