Thanks. It's sounding more like this is something different.
Unfortunately, shortly after sending my last email I somehow toasted my
test VM. I've recreated it and I'm currently trying to see if I can
continue to reproduce the stale inode flushing stall. I'll give the perl
script a whirl as well...
